What is labia majora augmentation ?
The augmentation of labia majora,also called nymphoplasty,is the surgery in which we can improve the aesthetic appearance of the external female genitals such as their size and appearance, for the purpose of rejuvenate the appearance of the genital area.The intervention can be realized through lipofilling or lipomodelling or lipostructure.

Advantages of the labia majora lipofilling
Skin aging makes it rumple and saggy.genital labia is no exception to the aging process impacts.
The labia majora is the outer part of the female genitalia which frames the labia minora, vestibule and vagina. The labia majora frequently looses volume with both age and weight loss producing a deflated appearance with looseness and wrinkling of the overlying skin. This can lead to discomfort during intercourse secondary to loss of the fatty layer of protection.
In most patients, these changes can be addressed effectively with autologous fat transfer. Fat is harvested from a suitable area like the inner thigh or abdomen, purified, and injected into the subcutaneous fat layer in the labia majora. When a greater degree of skin laxity and sagging are present, an ellipsoid full thickness skin resection in the long axis of the labia majora either alone or in conjunction with autologous fat transfer will provide an effective cosmetic procedure.
Before the intervention
Your surgeon will examine the genitalia area and verify the skin’s elasticity.he then will evaluate the necessary corrections, determine the zones for the liposuction and lipofilling.your surgeon may as well suggest alternative non-surgical treatments, like Hyaluronic acid injections or other filling products that can be taken in a regular visit at the clinic.
Day of the procedure
The operation is done under general anesthesia,but can also be performed under a local anesthesia.
It takes 30 to 60 minutes in the OR,so the patient doesn’t need to stay over night,and can leave the same day.
The fat is extracted from the designated zones through liposuction,once the fat is centrifuged and treated, the purified fat will then be injected to the labia majora.
Everything is then covered with proper dressing.
Post Surgery & Results
You should expect some bruising, swelling and pain after your procedure. If you feel like you’ve lost sensation in the liposuctioned areas, don’t be alarmed. As your nerves begin to regenerate and regain feeling, sensation should return to normal. Swelling may linger for as long as several months. Pain medication will be prescribed to control any discomfort. However, if you begin to experience severe pain, contact us immediately.
Results
The recovery process is different for everyone, but within a day after your procedure, you should be up and walking around. Excess tumescent fluid, will most likely drain from the access points for the first day or two and you may experience blood-tinged fluid as well. You may shower on the second or third day following surgery. Depending on the number of areas treated, you may need to be out of work and away from your usual activities for the first week. Over the next two or three weeks, your treated areas may remain very sensitive and strenuous physical activities should be limited. You will also need to wear a special compression garment for up to a month to help ensure good contour to your treated areas. Following this period you may gradually return to activities such as lifting, exercise and sex. Avoid any high impact activities for about one month. Specifically, you should avoid jogging and bouncing activities for up to six weeks. These procedures will help you avoid stress to your treated areas and allow time for healing and recovery. All liposculpturing procedures are performed using small incisions, about the length of this small line —–, such that scarring will be minimal.
The results of your procedures are usually best seen after several weeks. Your treated areas should look great and retain their sculptured appearance for as long as you remain the same weight. If you gain weight, you will generally gain it in areas other than those that were liposuctioned.
